Last summer I traveled to Iceland, which has been named the most peaceful country in the
world every year since 2009. This status is based on formal metrics, but there are other factors
that contribute to the sense of peace people have when they are there. This June, I am going to
reflect on the nature of peace – and consider that peace might not come from a place so much
as a state of mind – while we visit The most peaceful place on earth.
